Video Review: Manfrotto 1004BAC 3 QSS Air Cushioned Light Stand

The Manfrotto 1004BAC – 3 OSS Air Cushioned Light Stands, specifically the 3 pack we bought from BH are the best light stands I’ve used in their class. While they may not be the coolest thing to be reviewing I really highly recommend them if you’re going to be making an investment in a piece of gear you’re going to be using every time you shoot.

These stands go up 12 feet and carry a max load of 20lbs and the telescoping poles are air cushioned, which will probably save your light and fingers at least once.  What really impressed me right off the bat is the Manfrotto’s Quick Stack System which allows three stands to be ganged together for easy setup, breakdown and transport.  This is a great little feature that really exemplifies Manfrotto’s attention to detail and commitment to high quality support gear.

The stands are sturdy but light enough to carry to locations without hassle.  When moving lights around when attached to the stands I have confidence the stands aren’t going to bow or snap.  Despite the few minute issues I stated in the video I would fully recommend these stands to working professionals who want to make an investment in a piece of gear that will last them years to come.

Thanks!
